Naga Chaitanya Confirmed for 'Premam' Telugu Remake
According to the latest reports, Naga Chaitanya will star in the yet to be titled Telugu remake of the latest Malayalam blockbuster Premam. Initially, Ram was rumored to be remaking the film. However it finally falls in to Chaitanya's kitty.
"Chaitanya will essay the role originally played by Nivin Pauly. Chandoo Mondeti, who shot to fame with the Telugu thriller Karthikeya, will direct the remake," a source close to the team revealed. S. Radha Krishna of Haarika and Hassine creations banner will produce the film. The rest of the cast is in the process of being finalized. The project is expected to go on floors later this year or in early 2016.
Premam, which has emerged as one of the biggest Malayalam hits, is the coming-of-age love story of its protagonist spanning through over a decade at different stages in life.
On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is currently busy shooting for a yet-untitled Telugu action-drama with Gautham Vasudev Menon.
