Even though the trade experts predicted that Salman Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and Dhanush’s “Maari” would slow down the success run of “Bahubali” in its second week, the fall was lower than they had predicted. On its second Friday, the business of “Bahubali” declined over only 36% as compared to its opening day, mainly due to the decrease in its theatre count.
Its collection bounced back on its second Saturday and Sunday. Despite clashing with “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, the Hindi version of the movie raked in approximately Rs 13 crore net at the Indian box office in its second weekend, taking its 10-day total collection to Rs 59.77 crore, setting a new record for a dubbed film.
