The film is one of the many forgettable, loud buddy cop movies that Hollywood churns out every now and then. Speaking of comedy, the punches and the Black guy jokes are silly. The action scenes are decent and work to certain extent but the film is avoidable on the whole as it lacks 'intelligence'. If you are still a fan of the genre, watch The Nice Guys instead.

Hart and Johnson share an easy chemistry and there are enough lines in there to keep the jokes coming. The trouble lies in director Rawson Marshall Thurber’s patchy handling of the story. There are moments when the film is slow and sluggish, and then it is on steroids with hyper action. Those are the moments when you thanks god that you are in this ride with a big Johnson and a little Hart. Also, watch out for the cameos both credited and not.

The plot gets more and more ridiculous till it reaches a point where The Rock needs to take off his clothes and do that whole jumping tricep thing that muscled men do. Honestly, The Rock has done way better movies, Kevin Hart is generally funnier (even while making fart noise jokes) and Rawson Marshall Thurber should just go make a sequel to Dodgeball. Seriously. That would be immenely more watchable. Verdict: If you're going to watch it for The Rock, try old WWF/WWE videos instead. Much better entertainment value

Well, my enjoyment of Central Intelligence certainly goes against such assumptions. The film is everything we aren’t supposed to like: it is juvenile, predictable, and the gags are way over the top. But as shown time and again in the past, when a film remains true to itself — even if the ‘ignoble’ motive is to generate cheap laughs — it’s fascinating how tolerable it turns out to be.
