Talvar had a strong hold on Monday at India box office

Monday: 1.75-2 Crore Trade Figure
Sunday: 3.5 Crore Trade Figure
Saturday: 2.75 Crore Trade Figure
Thursday: 0.5 Crore (Paid Previews)Trade Figure
Friday: 2.5 Crore Trade Figure

Total till date: 11-11.25 Crore nett Trade Figure and same figure given out by Producers

On Monday collections were down only 30% from Friday which was also a big national holiday and just 50% down from Sunday.This is also due to good promotions across Times of India properties which is also a producer of the movie.

Budget: 22 Crores approx inclusive of all costs

On Saturday Collections went up by 10% from Friday despite Friday being a big holiday this shows good word of mouth has helped the movie.

Talvar like last year's Haider managed to take full advantage of the Oct 2 Holiday  to do much better than what a critically appreciated movie is expected to do.

Talvar has got exceptional reviews and that has helped along with the fact that it is based on the known Arushi Murder case. 

Screens: 625 all India.


Even in these screens it had only 2-3 shows  and not all the shows.

Talvar will not likely grow on Saturday as Friday was the benefit of a Holiday but a Saturday similar to Friday and than Growth on sunday should set it up well.

Like any other critically appreciated movie it will depend completely on word of mouth and weekdays numbers to sustain itself.
