Sree Laya started her acting career through the movie 'Kutteem Kolum' released in 2013. It was a comedy film directed by Guinness Pakru, who made his directorial debut with this film. The movie featured Guinness Pakru, Munna, Adithya Sreelaya and Sanusha in lead roles and it was produced by Ansar Vasco under the banner United Films. Later Sreelaya acted in the film 'Manikyam' directed by R J Prasad featured Sahir Sanil, Ajay Ghosh and Sri Laya in lead and it hit theaters in November 2014. The movie showcased some interesting incidents which happen in the life of Kunjumanikyam, a young woman. In 2015. she acted in the movie 'Compartment' directed and produced by Salim Kumar. The movie handles the story of differently able children and it earned positives reviews from critics.
