The serial Moonumani is about a 20 year old girl who is mentally retarded. She has two elder brothers and one of her unmarried aunty also stays with them. This family soap opera also shows the situations the girl faces in her life. The day before girl’s brother's marriage, her father dies by an accident which was caused by the girl her self. After this incident her life becomes more desperate. Later her relatives decides to get her married. But on the day of the ‘Pennukanal’, the person who comes to meet her gets insulted by her. Meanwhile the driver who steer him for the Pennukanal, expresses his interest in her and he talks with her family. Later she gets married to him and the twist is that the girl's husband is the ex-lover of her 2nd brothers wife.
