Vijay 59 Story Is Inspired From Sathriyan!

imgAccording to the latest report, a source close to the team of Vijay 59 has come up with an interesting revelation which indicates that Vijayakanth's 1990 crime drama Sathriyan (Kshatriyan) is the inspiration behind the story of Ilayathalapathy's upcoming film, being directed by Atlee.

Assuring that Atlee will redesign the story in his own style, like how he had helmed his first movie Raja Rani based on the story line of Mani Ratnam's Mouna Raagam, the source has confirmed the following, "yes, the story is inspired by Sathriyan and Vijay will be seen as a cop".

Interestingly, the report from Times of India has also claimed that, according to the source, J Mahendran will indeed be playing the main villain of the movie which contradicts with some of the earlier reports that had clarified that the veteran director will be playing a positive role.

But now it looks like the Mullum Malarum filmmaker will be seen as an unusual villain who uses his brain more than his brawn to bring down his enemy by playing a psychological game.
