The Intern, starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway, is the sort of breezy, feel-good film that you’d typically stack in the rom-com pile, except that there’s no romance here…not between the leads anyway. I had a big smile plastered on my face during much of the film because I was pleasantly surprised by how real and authentic these characters felt, in the kind of movie that tends to give us broad stereotypes in place of flesh-and-blood humans.

An easy, breezy office space confection that doesn't require much of your time or intense emotions, I exude a distinct charm, one that's rarely seen in pop-culture obsessed material today. It's as how Ben describes his handkerchief ritual, "one of the last vestiges of the chivalrous gent."Thank you for your honesty.Thank you for your time.

One look at that guy's smile and you want De Niro to wipe it off. He doesn't, but there's no need to because De Niro owns the movie from the moment he opens his mouth, and is staring into the camera and right at you. (Oh, yes, he's lookin' at you.) You can't look away, and soon you don't want to. Certainly Meyers doesn't want anyone to because, though she loves the idea of the successful, independent woman, she also ardently wants to make room for daddy.

Definitely watch! There is a dearth of feel-good movies be it in Bollywood or Hollywood and hence you cannot miss this one. It is perfect to lift your spirits on a weekend and leave you with a happy heart.

The Intern is a generational matchup of Baby Boomer-meets-millennial mindset with the office as a backdrop. You'll watch it for De Niro and Hathaway's easy onscreen chemistry.

Anne Hathaway as the over-worked young entrepreneur, struggling to manage both her office and her home, presents the complexity of her character with her trademark charm. The dilemma of whether to give up her company to save her family haunts Hathaway's character throughout the film, and with this complexity, Hathaway builds a unique chemistry with De Niro on screen. Other actors like Andrew Rannells, Rene Russo, Zack Pearlman, and Adam DeVine make for great supporting cast and help take the film forward. Overall, THE INTERN is a simple sweet film, with charming performances by Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway, which makes for a good watch.
