No Big Buzz, Still Puli Making Strong Business

Tamil star hero Vijay's Puli Telugu version will have simultaneous release on October 1st along with Tamil and Hindi versions. No promotions are happening for the film in Telugu, whereas huge publicity is going on for the Tamil version.

Usually buzz for any film starts post audio and trailer launch events. So, stars use to celebrate their audio launches grandly to create good buzz on their film. However, Puli Telugu buyers released the audio in very low profile event. Hardly 10 members attended the event, what we should better call it as a press meet. Interestingly, irrespective of these many negative factors, Puli is still making strong pre release business.

Puli Krishna rights were sold for 40 lakhs. UA rights fetched 70 lakhs, while Ceded and Nellore business has been closed at Rs 1.30 cr. Overall; the film has done around Rs 10 crores business, as per trade analysts. This is indeed superb figure for a Vijay starrer film in Telugu. 

Although Vijay is second biggest star in Tamil Nadu after Rajinikanth, he is failing to grab Telugu market all the time. He hopes to make strong mark in Telugu with Puli, but seems like it may not happen this time too owing to poor publicity.
