In Second Week Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty's Hero continued to fall at India Box Office

Second Week:
2.12 Crore Trade Figure
2.5 Crore Producer Figure

Total till date:
31.75 Crore Trade Figure
33.37 Crore Producer Figure

Even Though it is a plus movie it is a disappointment for trade because it wasted such a good opening provided by Salman Khan's promotions.

Day 7:
1.45 Crore Trade Figure
2.14 Crore Producer Figure

First Week is 15th Highest first week of 2015 ahead of movies like Bombay Velvet and Hamari Adhuri Kahani.

First week is decent only because of the opening as the movie failed to sustain on weekdays.

In terms of cost it is safe but in terms expectations it is below expectations and Sooraj and Athiya will have to wait for their next movies to build up a box office reputation

Hero Day 6 Box Office Collection:
1.9 Crore Trade Figure
2.15 Crore Producer Figure

The fall between Tuesday and Wednesday was more than 20% which is not a good trend.

It may, however, go up a bit on Thursday due to partial Holiday

Day 5:
2.4 Crore  Trade Figure
2.45 Crore  Producer Figure

 Day 4:
3 Crore Trade Figure
3.03 Crore  Producer Figure

Total till date:
23.88 Crore Trade Figure
24.13 Crore Producer Figure

On Monday, Hero went down by more than 50 % from Friday in early Trends.

The mass areas where Hero was performing decently during the weekend i.e Rajasthan, MP, Bihar and Gujarat stayed strong with 50% drop, but the rest of India fell sharply.

In comparison Heropanti, the Tiger Shroff debut movie which  had a very similar weekend had a Monday of 4 Crore and then stayed strong to hit the 50 Crore mark.

Hero is definitely going to be lower than this and will likely struggle to retain screens from week 2 when a wide release Katti Batti comes up.

Hero  also struggled in overseas with Welcome back leading it in all European markets despite being in week 2 Overseas breakup here.

Welcome back has also continued to do well in the 2nd week also putting Hero under pressure in select markets.

Overall it seems that while Salman khan's promotions and the hit song ensured an opening the film's content failed to find wide acceptance.

Overall while Hero has done very decently for a low-cost newcomers movie it has not met the expectations that trade had from the movie especially with Salman Khan promoting the movie.

Despite all this movie will become profitable due to low costs.

Daywise Breakup:

Day 1:
6.72 Crore Trade Figure
6.85 Crore Producer Figure

Day 2:
6.52 Crore Trade Figure
6.62 Crore Producer Figure

Day 3:
7.54 Crore Trade Figure
7.73 Crore producer Figure

Budget: 28 Crores

Overseas:
Thursday + Friday $350,000 or Rs 2.32 Crores which is a decent number for a newcomer movie but in USA Hero is currently dull

Budget:
28 Crores all inclusive for Eros

The Production Cost of Hero is only Rs 23 Crores.
Producer  Salman Khan has sold the movie for 18 Crores to Eros.
Satellite  rights have been sold at a price of 8 Crores
Music Rights have fetched 3 Crores.

Producer Salman Khan has already achieved a pre-release Profit of 6 Crores

Eros has spent 18 crores on Rights and 10 crores on Prints and advertising cost making its Total cost at 28 Crores all inclusive.
