Acha Dhin Movie Review
Expectations were high as G Marthandan joined with Mammootty yet again after the movie Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus. Acha Dhin, the recent released Mammootty starrer thriller movie; was able to reach the expectations, consisting a good story line and some wonderful performances.
Written by Vijeesh AC and produced by S George, Acha Dhin tells the story of a Jharkhand native Durgaprasad (Mammootty), who lives in Kerala for a long time along with his wife Sheethal (Mansi Sharma).
As she got pregnant, he has exposed to face some dilemma, socially and personally; making him strong enough to do something for the society.
Coming to cast, Mammootty, as usual delivered a splendid performance as Durgaprasad, bringing the character to life. The North Indian character with a good taste in Malayalam, was safe in the veteran’s hands.
Mansi Sharma, on the other hand, remained the perfect pair to Mammootty; making a good entrance into industry. The actress proved worthy to be casted as the part of the movie.
Actors like Renji Panicker, Kishore, Maniyanpilla Raju, Kunchan, Padmaraj Ratheesh, Sudheer Karamana, Saju Navodaya, etc has done their part well.
G Marthandan proved to be a brilliant director, to bring a much unseen character into Malayalam industry as the central character. Though he is doing his second film only, he handled his part with the ability of an ace director.
The script by Vijeesh AC was able to handle a difficult subject in a pretty good manner, which also includes social elements in it. A common man’s life in another place is wonderfully portrayed in the movie.
Cinematography by Pradeep Nair and editing by Ratheesh Raj kept the standards, while Bijibal’s music was wonderful.
The movie is supported well by wonderful visuals and BGM throughout, adding a hike to the movie.

In short, Acha Dhin stands as a perfect Ramadan gift from the Megastar, a thriller, which contains social elements in it, saying about the ‘power of a common man’; which he can utilize for the surroundings social beings.
