'Titanic' Music Director James Horner Dies In Plane Crash

For all those music lovers who still can't forget heart warming and soul lifting tunes of "Titanic" and its stunning background score, and those who are in love with the background score of films like "A Beautiful Mind" and "Brave Heart", here is a sad news. Award winning composer James Horner, aged 61, has died in a plane crash on Monday. 

James Horner has been composing since a long time and he has won two Academy awards for "Titanic" while he received 11 nominations on a whole in his career. He died Monday in a plane crash near Santa Barbara, USA, when he is piloting his own small aircraft.

For his work on the 1997 film Titanic, directed by James Cameron, Horner won Oscar for original dramatic score and another Academy Award for original song for same movie. He won nominations for Braveheart (1995) and A Beautiful Mind (2001). He also received noms for An American Tail (1986), Field of Dreams (1989), Apollo 13 (1995) and House of Sand and Fog (2003). 

His other best words include Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982) and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1983), Jumanji (1995), Troy (2004) and The Amazing Spider-Man (2012).
