Nee-Na Review
After the mass entertainer Vikramadityan; Lal Jose has came forward with an entirely different genre, Nee-Na; a movie which can’t be simply described in words.
The film produced by Lal Jose himself, under the banner of LJ Films, features Ann Augustine, Deepthi Sati and Vijay Babu in lead roles.
Nee-Na discusses the story of two women and man; within the backgrounds of urban relationships.
The film deals with two extremely different characters, Neena and Nalini; portrayed by Deephthi Sati and Ann Augustine respectively; who influence the life of Vinay Panicker (Vijay Babu); who is also the husband of Nalini.
Nalini is a common woman, who likes to live a common life with her husband; while Neena is the extreme end, living the life which society sees weird for women.
Deepthi Sati; former Miss Kerala, who portrayed the role of Neena in the movie; has made her debut appearence with a powerful role; executed in a must applauded manner.
Ann Augustine on the other hand, portrayed one of the strongest role in her career; making a great comeback to films after taking a short break.
Vijay Babu, on the other hand, has came forward with a great role; which will be remembered in his entire career. He, who showed his talent in Philips and Monkey Pen, has now came with yet another proof that he is not a man to restrict as a producer only.
Selection of other casts were also brilliantly done; in which Chemban Vinod Jose, Lena, Vinu Mohan, Sunil Sugatha, etc are well exploited.
Lal Jose, the maker of films like Meesha Madhavan, Achanurangaatha Veedu, Diamond Necklace, Ayalum Njanum Thammil, etc once again proved his classy way to portray the movie without any boredom; but delivering a good experience to audience.
The film stands as one of the best movies in his career ever happened; which show the extreme brilliance of a director; travelling through the characters only, without adding any unwanted comedies, action or songs.
The script by R Venugopal stands as the backbone of the film; as he was able to tell a heavy subject in a light manner; making it digestive to the audience.
Cinematography handled by Jomon T John delivers a visual magic to the audience; as the movie was captured with aesthetic beauty in each and every scene. Editing by Ranjan Abraham kept the standards.
The songs by Nikhil J Menon and BGM by Bijibal remain as positive factors of the movie. Bijibal has amazed with his heavy talent to boost the film with his magical elements of music; as the scenes are served with an elegant beauty in background scores.
In short, Nee-Na stands as a must watch movie from Lal Jose; which serves a good experience with the audience; not delivering any type of boredom for a while.
