Kanal Malayalam Movie Started Rolling | Mohanlal With M Padmakumar : The upcoming Mohanlal flick ''Kanal'' started rolling on 21st May 2015. The movie is touted to be action thriller and in which actor Anoop Menon will essay one of the prominent role. The movie is directed by Mr. M Padmakumar and scripted by Mr. Suresh Babu. It is the second time that, super star Mohanlal joining hands with Padmakumar and Shikkar was their first movie which had earned highly positive reviews from the audience & critics. The first look poster of the movie Kanal has come with a promising tagline 'Every end has an old beginning'. Mohanlal has decided to join in the set of Kanal by the end of this month and now he is in Japan. The director planned to shot this movie at locations in Dubai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Cochin.

The story of this thriller movie is revolves around two people who live in Dubai and shares similar lifestyle but had different experiences. They effected by the recession and now they return back to Kerala. The incidents happen after they meet in Kerala during a journey is narrated in it's story. In a recent interview, the director has said that he want to shoot the movie in a realistic way. The last movie of Mohanlal - Padmakumar combo was released five years ago and in which Mohanlal portrayed the character Balaraman, a lorry driver. It was the second highest grossing Malayalam movie of 2010 and it featured Samuthirakani, Kailash, Ananya, Mythili and Sneha in supporting roles.
