Changes Brought In Kerala State Film Awards

Kerala State Film Awards has undergone a large change in awards and nominations recently.

The government recently concluded to remove best comedian award from the Kerala State Film Awards; along with best director of children’s movie.

They also decided to add best script (adaptation), best live sound and best voice design as the new categories.

Best director and the director of best film will be awarded with two lakhs cash prize and the director of second best film will be awarded with 1.5 lakhs.

The director of best children’s movie will be rewarded with one lakh and the producer of second best film will be rewarded with 1.5 lakhs.

Best second actor; male and female; will be changed to best character role male and female; while child artist for male and female will be selected separately and will be rewarded with 50,000/- each.
