 Byomkesh Bakshi fell by more than  65% from its first day on Monday which is not a good sign

Sunday: 5.36 Crore nett
Monday: 1.5 Crore approx
Tuesday: 1.4 Crore approx
Wednesday: 1.1 Crore approx

Detective Byomkesh Bakshi  grew by 20% on sunday from saturday. While Byomkesh Bakshi has done well it has done it in select areas only.

Byomkesh Bakshi has done very well in multiplexes in top cities Kolkotta, Mumbai , Pune, Bangalore and Delhi, Gurgaon.

This has been one of the best performance for a hindi movie in bengal in recent times.

Across mass areas and single screens the total collections are low.

 The niche nature has meant that while for some of the exhibitors it has done very well but  a large numbers of exhibitors are not satisfied.

First day : 4.2 Crore Nett
Second day: 4.5  Crore Nett

India screen count - 1240 screens. International screen count - 330 screens. Worldwide screen count - 1570 screens. 

Byomkesh Bakshi Box Office Report

Byomkesh Bakshi  had a benefit of Good Friday which is a holiday across most parts in the country but despite that collections are below expectations.

Good Friday holiday helped the movie cross the 4 Crores mark at the box office else the total would have been lower.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy  was best in West Bengal which is  circuit which had a higher connect with the story

Besides Bengal the movie was good in multiplex metros especially Mumbai and Pune city.

It is however disappointing to see that Byomkesh Bakshi was not able to match up to the hollywood movie Furious 7 which dominated screens across india even this Friday

Byomkesh Bakshi Budget:

Total Budget: 19 Crores

Byomkesh Bakshy is a low cost movie with a production budget of 12 Crores and a prints and advertising cost of Rs 7 Crore.

It is also rumored that Sony has shown an interest in the movie's satellite rights at a 8-10 crore price which if true would have meant that this would become a safe venture very soon.
