Rakul Preet Singh as paraplegic in Bangalore Days remake?

If everything goes as per the makers’ wish, the actress will reprise the role of Parvathy Menon who played a paraplegic radio jockey

Rakul Preet Singh is one of the most sought after actress today and that is something which needs no saying. While she already has plum projects with Mahesh Babu, NTR and Ram Charan in her kitty, Hans Talkies has learnt that the Punjabi-born will join the starry cast of the Telugu remake of Malayalam smash hit ‘Bangalore Days’.

According to a source in the know, “The actress is in talks to reprise the role of Parvathy Menon who played a paraplegic radio jockey. Though Rakul’s calendar is jam-packed, she is likely to adjust her dates as she is required to shoot for just 12 days.”

If Rakul signs on the dotted line, she will be a part of an ensemble cast that includes Sharwanand, Nithya Menen, Srinivas Avasarala and Varun Tej. “Nithya, Srinivas and Varun will play the cousins who have developed a strong bond since childhood and have grown up as friends.

Sharwanand will play Nithya’s workaholic husband and if Rakul joins the team, she will be Varun Tej’s love interest,” adds the source. When contacted, Rakul said, “I am busy with two projects right now and am on the verge of signing a few more.

But I am unsure about the remake of ‘Bangalore Days’. My manager handles all my assignments.”However, her manager remained unavailable for a comment despite repeated attempts. To be helmed by ‘Oh My Friend’ director Venu Sriram, the film, a production of Dil Raju, is in pre-production currently.
