Mani Ratnam's find wants to work with Shankar

In 2000, Mani Ratnam introduced an actor called Madhavan in Alaipayuthe who then became the dream boy of many girls in South India.

Both Mani Ratnam and Madhavan worked together in films like Kannathil Muthamittal, Aayutha Ezhuthu, Dum Dum Dum and Guru.

In a recent interview Madhavan said that he knew many directors who work within budget but he wants to work with task master like Shankar who can only make an edgy film like Mudhalvan.

Madhavan has also expressed his wish to act with new age Tamil film directors like Karthik Subbaraj who made Pizza and Jigarthanda.
